Does a nice job but the switch is too close to the holding position so I have a tendency to keep switching it off in use. Also the low speed is useless as far as I can tell, see no use for the slower speed. Does a good job though.
The only negative comment is the location of the switch.I kept hitting the switch by accident while using it, but perhaps I am too much of a dork :-)I used this to polish a 32' RV and it did a marvolous job of restoring the shine to the fiberglass that had begun to dull. This polisher worked exceptionally well. The two speeds are great - the low speed is good for application, then the high speed for removal and polish. This being said it was HORRIBLE doing that size of RV, but could not have gotten the job done without the power tool. For a big job, be sure to have LOTS of terry cloth bonnets. For the whole job I used one applicator bonnet, 1 microfiber bonnet, but went through 5 terry cloth bonnets (that I had to wash several times before completing the job).
The electrical cord gets in the way sometimes. Works pretty good on high speed. The low speed is worthless. I washed the applicator as it tells you to throw it out after each use. It is a little heavy, after I did 2 cars my back was killing me.
Use this if your forearms or wrists hurt and you need a break from the hard work of wax removal. Well, Osh had a Milwaulkee (not sure spelling) for $189 but the salesman said they make one in the $89 range that would be safer in the hands of the inexperienced shine-obsessed person. Perhaps it has an inferior motor.
I am very disappointed that there are two speeds but that the first speed is useless. My dad has a variable speed Ryobi that he says is good. It will help, but you will still have to wipe up after it and you will do a better job.
I don't know but this one left wax even though I flipped the terry cloth pad and followed up with a lambs wool (not included) pad. The Ryobi that I gave away last year had only one speed and claimed to have the same rpm. It was, in fact, weaker.
Neither Home Depot or Osh sold anything worth getting. Ugh.black cars.and the search continues.
As the applicator pads are not supposed to be reused, including more then 1 would have been nice. It does this pretty well and is certainly a time saver over hand waxing. This was purchased to put a good, even coat of wax on my vehicles, not todetail to a car show finish. The low speed setting is so slow that the buffer actually stops rotating with any pressure at all. I followed the instructions and used all three of the included pads and got nice, shiny finish for my efforts. A few minor complaints. I simple used high speed for all applications and it worked fine. Overall, a good product
